CBP: Chiropractic Biophysics

Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP) is a chiropractic technique that corrects and changes posture to a normal state. The goals of CBP correction are complete posture normalization to reduce abnormal pressure on the vertebra, discs and the nervous system, which, if not corrected, may result in osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, spinal stenosis, scoliosis, deformed ligaments, muscle spasm, disc decay and abnormal postures. Numerous symptoms may also occur from the pressure of different abnormal postures such as: headaches, neck pain, TMJ, arm pain, leg pain, sciatica, numbness, muscle pain/weakness and organ issues. CBP emphasizes optimal posture and spinal alignment as the primary goal of chiropractic care, while documenting improvements in pain.

The Method to Correct Your Posture
p001Through the CBP technique, Dr. Chait uses exercise, adjustments and traction with mirror image positioning. In combination, these “E.A.T.” methods are distinctive to the CBP technique. This combination retrains the body to a new healthy position to achieve proper posture.

An exclusive aspect of the CBP technique is the utilization of traction. CBP traction protocols have proven results in long-term correction of spinal postural distortions.

The purpose of CBP traction is to correct posture and to restore proper spinal curvatures.

Why Should You Correct your Posture?
p4Posture affects and moderates every physiologic function from breathing to hormonal production. Spinal pain, headache, mood, blood pressure, pulse and lung capacity are among the functions most easily influenced by posture.

What Does CBP Certified Mean?
Dr. Chait attended extensive courses regarding the CBP method and completed written and practical exams.
